November Department Updates

John Gieschen and Nacole Simonds are assisting each other with efforts that would normally fall under the other’s umbrella. Nacole will be helping out with Support and John will be assisting the Solutions Team to get our first ENABLE release out the door.

Mary Ringwood will be moving to Solutions as an Analyst and Erin Driscoll will be taking on the responsibilities of Support Manager. There will be a transition process for these two changes and team members will be kept up to date.

 

Welcome, Jeremy, Maureen, Gabriella, and Jake!

Jeremy Hammond, Sr. Developer, started April 1st.

Jeremy has joined InfoEd as a Sr. Developer. He is a lifelong resident of Queensbury NY, where he resides with his lovely wife, Janelle, loveable son, Benjamin, smiling dog, Freya and 2 dumb cats. Professionally he’s worked at and attended the College of Saint Rose for 14 years as their first ever web master, then web developer and Blackboard system administrator. Jeremy’s experiences are not limited to the computer world. He was the youngest person to run for political office in Warren County, running for Supervisor at Large for the town of Queensbury (he lost). He is currently a board member of the Hudson River Shakespeare Company in Hudson Falls, NY and he produces a haunted house for The Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward, New York every year. In his spare time he studies The Walt Disney Company (cooperate history, culture, theme park development methods) and the theme park industry in general.

Maureen Vandervort, Information Specialist, started April 8th.

Maureen grew up in Western NY and received her BS in Marketing/Management and Technical Communications from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.  She worked for Sun Microsystems Computer Company as a Regional Sales Administrator for 10 years and as a Senior Customer Service Representative for LexisNexis Matthew Bender for 15 years.  Maureen lives in Voorheesville, NY with her son, Jake and daughter, Morgan.

Gabriella Spain, UI Developer, started April 8th.

Gabriella is from Watervliet, NY and is a former employee of Greane Tree Technology. She graduated from Sage at Albany with a B.S. in Web Development. In her free time, she likes to play the violin, video games and draw. Gabriella also takes part in competitive rubik’s cubing!

Jake Greene, Application Analyst, started April 8th.

Jacob (Jake) Greene grew up in Gloversville, New York and has been living in the Albany area for the past three years. He attended SUNY Oneonta and received a B.S. degree in Communications Studies. Upon graduation, he worked for Xerox Litigation Services as a team fulfillment coordinator before leaving to join the InfoEd family.  Jake now resides in Delmar, NY with his fiancé who is currently attending Albany Law School. Hobbies include recording/mixing music, video games,  coffee roasting, and planning his wedding for next April.

Jonathan Doran, Jr. Developer started March 6th

Jonathan (Jay) has joined the InfoEd family as a developer. He is originally from Gloversville, New York but moved to the Albany area 5 years back. He graduated from Gloversville High School & attended SUNY Albany where he received his B.S. degree in Computer Science and Physics Combined. His professional background and experience include five years in the United States Marine Corps as an electro-optical ordnance technician and one year as a high voltage circuit breaker technician. Hobbies include music, guitar, video games and exercise.

Tricia Tanner, Solutions Analyst started March 11th

Tricia grew up in central New York and received her BS in microbiology from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where she also met her future awesome husband, Matthew Tanner.  Together they attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where both received their Ph.D.’s.  Tricia’s research was focused in the area of molecular virology and later did her post-doctoral research at the Wadsworth Center at the NYS Department of Health.  Additionally, Tricia worked as a contract biologist at GE’s Global Research Center in Niskayuna, NY before joining the InfoEd team.  Tricia now lives in Duanesburg, NY and looks forward to starting a vegetable garden and attempting to keep the numerous critters out of it!

Margaret Reinold remains as the Business Development Representative but now reports to Bill Kupiec.

Team Member Additions

Chris Rucker, Application Analyst, started on December 12th.

Chris  is a former businessman and entrepreneur with IT Service Management in his career history. He currently holds certifications in business analysis, software testing, and database administration as well as graduate credits in Software Engineering from Harvard University Extension School.

Tasneem Ali, Developer, started on  January 7th.

Originally from Newburgh, NY, Tasneem completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from SUNY New Paltz and moved to Albany in 2004.  Tasneem has worked as a Software Engineer for IBM (Poughkeepsie, NY), Mediacom Communications (Middletown, NY), and Truarchs Online(Albany, NY). In her free time, she likes traveling with her husband and two children.

Matthew Murdock, Jr. Developer, started on January 7th.

Matthew is a graduate of SUNY at Albany and has just completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science this past fall. He is originally from Pittsfield, MA but has been living in the Albany area for about 10 years now. His hobbies include video games and game development, drumming, and sculpture.

Natalie Condon, Application Analyst, started on January 14th.

Natalie is originally from Santa Monica, California but moved to the Albany area several years back with her family. She graduated from Shaker Highs School & attended Siena College where she studied computer science and fine art. Her professional background and experience include IT Recruiting, IT consulting for NYS, & Project Management/Implementation/QA Testing for a local software company which automated the production of Material Safety Data Sheets used to classify hazardous materials. Hobbies include travel, film making, skiing, camping, deep sea fishing, painting, and DJ’ing vinyl house music.

Department Updates

Joe P has transitioned over to the Solutions team, and will be working as a Business Analyst on new and exciting InfoEd projects! He will remain as UVM’s analyst for the time being, since the team there would be devastated if he left them. They love Joe at UVM!

 

Joe S. is transitioning to Business Development  and will be working on various projects for the team. In true Support fashion, when you leave the Support Team you get to take a client with you as a parting gift! (Temporary gift, of course) Joe will continue as Yale’s analyst for a little bit longer.

 

Natalie Condon, Chris Rucker and Larry Cokaric have all recently joined the Support team as analysts – are we are excited to bring their talents and knowledge to the team!. Welcome!

January and February Updates

 

Congratulations to Patrick Quirk who is now Manager, Professional Services! Mike Kangas, Nick Ruisi, Kevin Chamberlain, Steve Marr and Phillip Stanford will now report to Patrick.

Business Development has a new team member, Joe Santamarina! Go Joe!

Joe Pietras joined the Solutions Team as a Business Analyst and Nacole Simonds is his new manager.

Larry Cokaric is now an Application Analyst and reports to Mary Ringwood. Welcome to Support, Larry!

Jason Perkins has returned to the InfoEd team as an Information Specialist and reports to Keith Willis. Jason works remotely from North Carolina so you won’t see him in the office but you can still join me in welcoming him back!
