Rodney Garcia, Sr. Release Manager
Welcome, Josh, Garrick and Ray!
Josh Tostlebe, (Remote) Developer. Started October 14th.
Josh grew up in Ankeny, Iowa and received his BS in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University. He recently moved to Pensacola, FL to be with his wife, Kristin, who is a LT in the Air Force and is currently in flight school to become a CSO (Combat Systems Officer). Previous to Florida he was living in Ames, IA and was a windows application developer for the Iowa Department of Transportation. Josh’s hobbies include cooking, running, hiking, biking, and now the beach. I guess that is a given being down in Florida now! He’s also a fan of beer… So if anyone else is, he would love some tips and company to visit some local breweries the next time he’s in Albany!
Garrick Salton, QA Specialist. Started October 21st.
Garrick is a displace Binghamtonian currently living in Clifton Park with his fiance, her two girls, and his daughter Chloe, (who splits her time with him and her mother). He recently worked as a manager for Outback Steakhouse and as a Sr. Representative in the Energy Services Group with New York State Electric and Gas. He is a cyclist, loves to cook and spend time with his daughter, and likes to play video games in his free time.
Ray Kim, Developer. Started October 28th.
Although Ray has lived in the Capital District for more than twenty years, he considers Woodstock, NY, where he grew up, to be his hometown. He received his BS in computer science from Syracuse University (“Let’s Go Orange!!!”) and his MS in technical communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. When he is not sitting in front of a computer, Ray is an accomplished musician. He plays four different instruments (piano, clarinet, saxophone, and mallet percussion), is the clarinet section leader for the Memorial Concert Band of Colonie, and plays the piano for various events around the Capital District (his regular gig is Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham on Sunday mornings). Ray considers baseball to be his religion (he is a Yankee fan) and has been known to schedule vacations around Major League Baseball schedules. He is always willing to strike up a conversation about hardball. Ray currently lives in Troy with his wife, Lianne, and their two cats, Bernard and Nutmeg.

Puppy Powerrrr!
Wells is a 13 week old mixed breed pup rescued from the streets in SC. He is foster care with other dogs and he is such a well behaved boy. Wells would fit into almost any home. He is quiet in his crate and sleeps through the night. If you have the time to train and socialize a pup, please contact Caitlin!

Cindy Auer, New York
My name is Cindy Auer and I have been working for InfoEd in the SPIN department as an Information Specialist since January, 2008. I started working in-office and then switched to working from home after we relocated for my husband’s job.
I currently live in Highland, NY, which is right next to New Paltz. It’s a pretty nice place to live and we are surrounded by orchards, wineries, great restaurants, unique small businesses, and lots of scenic places to go hiking and bicycling.
I share my home with my husband, 8-year-old son, three tuxedo cats, and a bearded dragon. My family goes hiking regularly and we also enjoy other outdoor activities, such as camping and canoeing. We very recently climbed to the top of Slide Mountain, which is the highest peak in the Catskills.
Some of my other hobbies include reading, listening to music, and paper crafting. My family is also involved with our local library and my husband and I are den leaders for our local Cub Scout pack.
I miss being able to work from the office at times and getting to know everyone individually, but I’m thankful that I get to continue working for InfoEd while raising my family in a different location.
Halloween Highlights!
November Department Updates
John Gieschen and Nacole Simonds are assisting each other with efforts that would normally fall under the other’s umbrella. Nacole will be helping out with Support and John will be assisting the Solutions Team to get our first ENABLE release out the door.
Mary Ringwood will be moving to Solutions as an Analyst and Erin Driscoll will be taking on the responsibilities of Support Manager. There will be a transition process for these two changes and team members will be kept up to date.
