401(k) Transition

Adam Neary and a Fidelity representative, Marco, were onsite on Wednesday, January 16th to give sessions on how to enroll or register with Fidelity.

If you currently participate in the 401(k) Plan with the Hartford, you will still need to register with Fidelity through their website. Registration began January 16th and will remain open until January 31st. At that time, if you have not registered through their website you will not be able to do so until March 10th when the site goes live.

Extra booklets on registration are in my office or you can find the PDF version in the Employee HR folder on the G drive.

Please remember to designate your beneficiary(ies) by accessing “Your Profile” on the NetBenefits website. If you are single, you can designate whomever you want. If you are married, you will be required to designate your spouse as the primary beneficiary to receive 100% of the funds. If you do not want to name your spouse as the primary beneficiary you will need to call the 1-800 # and obtain a hard copy of the beneficiary form for you and your spouse to sign.

If you are enrolling for the first time or want to change your contributions, please send Michael Greenfield an email letting him know what the contribution % is and to which fund it’s going. (401k or Roth)

2013 Tax Withholding

The temporary two percent payroll tax cut effecting Social Security in 2011 and 2012 has now expired. A federally mandated withholding of 6.2% percent will be effective for this week’s payroll and some of you may notice a decrease in your paycheck.
